In the scandalous video of Miley Cyrus smoking from a bong, it looks like she's in the middle of quite a party. We know she had turned eighteen earlier that week, and had celebrated with an A-list birthday bash at an exclusive club. So what was the occasion for Miley's caught-on-camera party just days later? As it happens, she actually had a pretty typical teenage excuse: her parents were out of town.
Yes, according to E! Online, Miley was hosting the party at her own house while both her parents were away. Guests included Anna Oliver, a good friend of both Cyrus and Demi Lovato, who allegedly took the video in question.
"Miley is really pissed because they were close," a source tells E!. Angry Miley fans launched an online attack campaign against Oliver in the past few days, blaming her for the leak -- and prompting her to shut down her Twitter account. Yikes.
Also at the party was an up-and-coming actor, Friday Night Lights star Grey Damon. (If you watched the video, he's the guy Miley confused with her ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth while she was "tripping.") Damon has confirmed that he was there, but says he didn't partake in any drugs.
"He was in the room for less than a minute," says Damon's rep.
Miley hasn't issued a statement on the video, but seems to be continuing with life as usual: working on her new movie by day in New Orleans, and hitting the clubs by night with co-star Kelly Osbourne. She's still living primarily at her divorcing parents' house in Los Angeles, although her father has officially moved back to Nashville -- meaning mother Tish will have to single-handedly deal with Miley's house parties from now on.
